On February 2nd, 2025, the High Commissioner of the United Republic of Tanzania to Canada, H.E . Joseph Sokoine, paid a courtesy visit to the Mayor of the City of Brampton's His Worship, Patrick Brown. 

The High Commissioner and Mayor engaged in fruitful discussions about collaborating to enhance economic opportunities for Brampton and Tanzania.

They explored avenues for cultural exchange, tourism promotion, and investment opportunities, emphasizing the importance of building strong ties between our communities.
