The High Commissioner Joseph Sokoine with His Worship Danny Breen, Mayor of the City of St. John's (right), and His Worship Darrin Bent, Mayor of Conception Bay South (left), at the beginning of a three-day working visit to the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador.

The objective of the visit, scheduled from June 4th to 6th, 2025, is to promote trade and investment opportunities in Tanzania, particularly in the energy, mining, and blue economy sectors.

During the visit, the High Commissioner will meet with several public and private entities, including the Department of Industry, Energy, and Technology, the Trade Commission Service, Oceans Advance, Genoa Design, Mining Newfoundland and Labrador, and the NAIA Newfoundland Aquaculture Industry Association.

He will also have the opportunity to tour the Co. Innovation Center, C-Core, and Memorial University Facilities, as well as the Marine Institute of Memorial University of Newfoundland and Virtual Marine.
